Larry,
is a retired, former US Customs Supervisory Inspector, who spent over 25
years, of his 31 years, on the US Southern Border
assigned to the
Port of Nogales, Arizona. During this 31-year career, Larry was assigned
to US Customs Ports at Seattle, Toronto, Nogales, and Miami. In 1980, while
assigned at Miami, Larry had the fortunate opportunity to work with and learn
from Inspector Prospero Ellis. Impressed with Prospero’s skill at “reading
people” and his successful use of interpreting behavioral analysis,
upon his return to Nogales, AZ, Larry spent the next 23 years immersing himself
into learning, understanding, and teaching this craft called Behavioral Symptoms
Analysis (BSA)
· 20 years experience in training Behavioral Symptoms Analysis to US Customs and other Law Enforcement agencies, such as; US Immigration, US Border Patrol, Department of Agriculture, Federal Probation, Fish and Wildlife and many state and local agencies
· Developed and produced behavioral analysis training material and handbooks
for Custom Inspector Training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center
(FLETC), Brunswick, Georgia, in addition to local training programs
· 31 years of law enforcement experience interdicting Customs, State and
Local violators, while conducting either inbound or outbound inspections
· Participated and supervised various law enforcement specialty teams
at the Port of Nogales, focusing primarily on inbound and outbound inspections
for
interdicting violators.
·
Recipient of numerous local and national awards, plaques or certificates
relating to law enforcement interdictions, including the “Customs Blue
Eagle” unit citation award, the highest award presented by
US Customs.
· A cumulated impressive career record of narcotic and currency seizures,
stolen vehicle recoveries and the arrest of a myriad of border crossing violators,
during his Customs career.
